Your introduction to the Russian History will remain incomplete if while visiting this country you will not learn about the events of the World War II. No other country has lost as many lives in that War as Russia and no other country has experienced tragedy and pathos to such a tremendous extent. The military display of the Museum acts as a chronicle of the war through official documents, letters, newspaper articles, photographs and paintings. In the Hall of Memory there are show-cases containing books with the names of those who died.

Admire the breathtaking monument commemorating those who perished in the war. Then stroll in the park frequented by Muscovites and use your chance to get a closer look at the Russian Orthodox Church, the Synagogue and the Mosque that remind us that people of various religious creeds died defending their country.
